Petrostone is facing material for interiors and exteriors,

consisting of a thin layer of various types of natural stone based

on ceramics, foam concrete, hard stones, aluminum or glass.

Petrostone allows creating different complicate architectural and designer concepts, which either has been impossible to realize technically till now or have a very high price. These are stone parquet, stone seamless tile, and patterns. Technology allows creating inlaid collections from natural stone. A unique technology of metal inlay into a natural stone has been developed.

As distinguished from usual marble, Petrostone can be used at the facades of buildings. Petrostone does not practically imbibe moisture and with stands extreme temperature drops.

Natural stones used for Petrostone production

marble / travertine / shale / limestone onyx / nacre / precious stones gemstones / other valuable solids of natural stone.
Petrostone is a perfect choice for decoration of exteriors and interiors.

Comparison of Petrostone with ordinary natural stone

  • Decorative properties (appearance): identical;

  • Cost of rigging up: much lower;

  • Weight: much lighter;

  • Cost of transportation: much lower;

  • Rigging up tempo: much faster;

  • Laying quality: perfect geometry;

  • Stability: much higher;

  • Stability of temperature absorption: much higher;

  • Absorption of water: much lower;

  • Wearing: much lower.

Simple laying. Ordinary tool. Ordinary solutions. Minimum of waste product.

As distinct from natural stone, Petrostone can be laid by a foreman for laying of the general tile, whereas natural stone dressing requires technical proficiency from a foreman.

Petrostone can be cut with the usual machine-tool tile cutter with the slice and puddle for water. Petrostone is cut with the usual slice both at ceramic granite and glass base.

No special adhesive is needed for laying of Petrostone, whereas placing natural marble it is important to have proper binding material, because using of mortar of cement or adhesive for tiles the irremovable stains appear on the surface of stone, which are salt efflorescence and coloring admix absorbed by it.

Laying of natural stone does not go without large amount of debris. Using Petrostone debris is minimized.

Simple laying, usual tools and adhesive, and minimum of debris allow to minimize the expenditures connected with laying and debris, and also to make laying process faster.

Weight and flexibility

One sq. m of Petrostone weighs is approximately 27 kg, whereas one sq.m. of monolithic marble has weight of 40-90 kg depending on a thickness of slabs. According to its characteristics, thickness and weight, the material can be used for joinery of the places where the use of marble is impossible because of its weight. Petrostone is flexible; it can be used for facing both walls and floors, whereas the monolithic marble because of its frailty should be 2 cm and more thick for the floor laying.

Instead of use of the natural stone of 2 cm (20 cm) Petrostone with the stone of 0,3 cm (3 mm) is used, which makes the price of one sq. m lower!

Water-proof features

Petrostone exhibits water-proof properties, that is why it can be used for fitting out the interior with the raised humidity (bathrooms, pools, and saunas).

Stability to temperature differences. Fronts

Petrostone has passed tests in practice and in a laboratory environment, which proved stability of its structure at any application conditions and temperature what allows to apply it for facing not only fireplaces and heat-insulated floors, but also fronts of buildings.

The thickness of Petrostoneis not more than 1 cm, whereas the thickness of marble can be 3 cm.  So, living space is saved, which is an important issue for our days. If Petrostoneis used for small areas like bathrooms, it allows expanding the space visually.
